Gray Flannel by Geoffrey Beene is an oriental-woody fragrance for men, launched in 1975, created by master perfumer Andre Fromentin. A timeless classic that already conquers with its beautiful bottle bottle with a striped cylinder cap. A very elegant and at the same time discrete fragrance that focuses on the notes of mandarin, wood, neroli, sandalwood and jasmine. With a simple composition of violet, lemon, orange, oak moss, sage and sandalwood it could easily be mistaken as a diptych creation. Although the scent is not entirely a floral, the unusual note of purple is the undisputed protagonist of the olfactory pyramid: coupled with citrus, musk and sandal, however, it loses its connotations of caramel-sweetness. Citrus fruits illuminate the composition, while oak moss and patchouli tame it. The sandal wood, barely perceptible, certainly helps to fix the scent, which seems to have two different characters, soft and fresh, and warm-shady. Olfactory pyramid: Top Notes: Galbanum, Neroli, Petit Grain, Bergamot, Lemon. Heart Notes: Mimosa, Iris, Violet, Sage, Rose, Geranium, Narcissus Base Notes: Tonka Bean, Almond, Oak Moss, Vetiver, Cedar.
